Our football teams play FULL contact football on FULL size football fields, wearing the games best equipment while being scrutinized by the areas finest officials. We work hard, play hard and enjoy ourselves immensely.
The Teams:
Each team consists of:
FIVE Coaches: (1) Head, (1) Assistant Head and (3) Assistants
ONE Athletic Trainer
At least ONE Team mom
TWENTY-FIVE Players all of which must advance to the next level each year except on the rare occasion when their safety would be a risk.
A player's age is that of September 1st of the given season.
Freshman:
To play at the Freshman level, players must not have any previous full contact football experience and must be:
8 years old and less than 115 lbs.
9 years old and less than 90 lbs.
Sophomore:
9 years old and less than 125 lbs.
10 years old and less than 100 lbs.
Junior:
10 years old and less than 140 lbs.
11 years old and less than 115 lbs.
70 min. for a 1st year player.
Senior:
11 & 12 years old, less than 150 lbs.
80 min. for a 1st year player.
Practice:
We practice on the Klein High School "Freshman" fields located across from the Klein High School baseball field and behind Klein Memorial Stadium. There we have two full sized, crowned and marked fields with goal posts. Each Bronco team is assigned one half of a field and all four teams practice at the same times and days of the week. Practice is on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 and Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 10:30 until the season begins and the Saturday practices are replaced by games. As the season wears on, the practices are moved back to accommodate the earlier setting of the sun.
